I do understand his comments (although my usage of the word incorrigible was in an entirely different sense, not specific to just this interview, but to all his interviews - past and present). Thats where the anger and frustration comes from.

Of course, I will continue to listen to his music.

Though I am a fan of Ilayaraja, I think it is fair to say that he is over his head, especially when he renders interviews. His rantings are more often than not incorrigible, and makes us wonder why we liked him in the first place…. then we realise, it was/is/will be just his music, and not him.
